Meanwood Park

Meanwood Park lies mostly on the east (left) bank of Meanwood Beck. The main entrance is on Green Road (which continues through the Park to Hustler’s Row). There is also access from Headingley via Hollin Lane, down Weetwood Mill Lane, and from The Hollies.
The southern half is open grassland, the northern half is woodland. There is a war memorial by the entrance to the 48 Meanwood men lost in the Great War, and in 2014, an avenue of 48 oaks was planted in their memory on the west bank of the Beck. The Park includes tennis courts, a table tennis table, a bowling green, a playground, picnic benches and a café.
